Alfie Boe, the musical theatre star seen on Broadway in Les Misérables and Finding Neverland, will join opera star Danielle de Niese, recently seen in the English National Opera production of Man of La Mancha, at the Royal Albert Hall for a night celebrating songs from the worlds of opera and theatre.
Titled Songs From the Stage, the October 20 concert will begin at 7:30 PM. The artists will be accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Timothy Redmond.
Attendees can expect to hear tunes from Carmen, The Merry Widow, Les Misérables, West Side Story, and more.
The play comes on the heels of a broader cultural conversation about Dahl's work and the prejudice that was embedded in many of his most beloved stories.
