Kipp Koenig's The Glitch is getting an Off-Broadway premiere with a six-week limited engagement at the Jerry Orbach Theater in The Theater Center September 24-November 2. Opening night will be October 3. Mark Koenig is directing.
The "sci-fi dramedy" follows Amy, who visits a futuristic lab to meet an AI-generated hologram teenager, the hypothetical child she could have with her partner. The titular glitch comes in when the system brings Amy her actual daughter from the future, complicating her choice of whether or not to actually embark on motherhood.
Danielle Augustine will star as Amy, with Jacquie Bonnet as Wendy, Hannah Rose Doherty as Hailey, Sunny Makwana as Wyatt, and Amilia Shaw as Aurora.
The production will feature scenic design by Josh Oberlander, costume design by Danny Colon, lighting design by Lobel, and sound design by Kipp Koenig and Bryan Kohl. Kayla Katona will stage manage. AEI Theatrical is producing.
Tickets are at TheGlitchPlay.com.
