News Kelly Felthous Will Be Legally Blonde at North Shore; Casting Announced Casting has been announced for the North Shore Music Theatre's upcoming production of Legally Blonde The Musical, which begins performances Nov. 1 at the Massachusetts venue.

Directed and choreographed by Nick Kenkel, performances will continue through Nov. 13.

The cast will be headed by Kelly Felthous, who originated the role of Eva in the world premiere of Bring It On, as Elle Woods with Gaelen Gilliland (Paulette), Barrett Hall (Emmett), Paul Jackel (Professor Callahan), Will Ray (Warner), Kate Loprest (Vivienne), Taryn Darr (Brooke), Tiffany Engen (Serena), Allysa Shorte (Pilar), Sara Andreas (Margot) and Trish LaRose (Enid).

The ensemble includes Meredith Akins, Ian Campayno, Andrea Collier, Lani Corson, Vanessa Dunleavy, Brooke Engen, Timothy Hughes, Chris Matesevac, Joe Moeller, Kevin Pariseau and Frankie Paparone.

Based on the hit movie, Legally Blonde The Musical, press notes state, is a "fresh and effervescent evening of musical fun, stylishly wrapped up in a smart pink bow! Elle Woods is the college sweetheart and homecoming queen who doesn't take no for an answer. So when her boyfriend, Warner, dumps her for someone ‘serious’, Elle puts down the credit cards, hits the books, and heads for Harvard Law School. Along the way, Elle proves that being true to yourself never goes out of style." The musical features music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin and a book by Heather Hach.

The creative team also includes Eric Alsford (musical director), Howard C. Jones (scenic designer), Kirk Bookman (lighting designer), Paula Peasley Ninestein (costume coordinator), Richard Stafford (creative consultant), Melissa Daroff (production stage manager), Michael Hopewell (assistant music director) and Natalie A. Lynch (assistant stage manager). The animals for this show will be provided by William Berloni.
