Katie Rose Clarke returns to the role of Glinda in the Broadway production of Wicked December 11 at the Gershwin Theatre. She succeeds Amanda Jane Cooper, who played her final performance December 9.
Clarke, whose Broadway credits also include Miss Saigon, Allegiance, and The Light in the Piazza, joins a cast that features Jessica Vosk as Elphaba, Nancy Opel as Madame Morrible, Kevin Chamberlin as The Wizard, Ryan McCartan as Fiyero, Jamie Jackson as Doctor Dillamond, and Kristen Martin as Nessarose.
Jesse JP Johnson also joins the cast December 11 in the role of Boq, following Jye Frasca, who concluded his run December 9.
Having recently celebrated its 15th anniversary on Broadway, Wicked has music and lyrics by Schwartz and a book by Holzman. The production is directed by Tony winner Joe Mantello with musical staging by Tony winner Wayne Cilento.
Wicked is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Stage Productions, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt, and David Stone.
