Classic Arts News Joshua Bell to Appear at New York Bookstore November 28 Violinist Joshua Bell will perform and sign CDs at the Lincoln Square Barnes & Noble in Manhattan on November 28.

The free event, which starts at 7 p.m., is part of Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square, a one-night lineup of free performances and other events in the Lincoln Center area on the Upper West Side.

Other performances include a concert by blues singer John Hammond at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (125 Columbus Avenue) at 7 p.m.; performances by jazz vocalist Jamie Leonhart at Gracious Home (1992 Broadway) at 7 and 8 p.m.; and a performance by the Juilliard School String Quartet at Bed Bath & Beyond (1930 Broadway) at 6 p.m. For more information, visit winterseve.org.

Bell's recent albums include a recording of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with Michael Tilson Thomas and the Berlin Philharmonic.
