The evening at the Skirball Cultural Center's Ahmanson Ballroom in Los Angeles is part of the 4th Annual Celebration of Reprise! In addition to the 8 PM performance, the benefit, which begins at 5:30 PM, will also include a cocktail reception, a silent auction and a sit-down dinner. Alexander will be joined onstage in this special edition of Gerard Alessandrini's Forbidden Broadway by Susanne Blakeslee, Stan Chandler and Kristine Zbornik. Brad Ellis will be the evening's musical director.
Best known for his work on the Emmy-winning TV sitcom "Seinfeld," Jason Alexander is also a Broadway veteran. He made his Broadway debut in the original cast of Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along, and he also appeared in The Rink, Broadway Bound, Jerome Robbins' Broadway and The Accomplice. Alexander won a 1989 Tony Award for his work in Jerome Robbins' Broadway, and he also starred opposite Martin Short in the L.A. mounting of Mel Brooks' The Producers.
