Jake Shore's new play The Slide is the Negative will make its world premiere Off-Broadway at The Chain Theatre beginning November 29 ahead of a December 7 opening night, via Axial Theatre and JCS Theater Company in association with Oberon Theatre Ensemble. Paul Smithyman is directing.

The work follows a photographer who betrays a close friend by displaying a revealing photograph in a prestigious Chelsea gallery, which sets off a chain of events that spins out into a mess of infidelity and violence.

Starring will be three-time Emmy winner Cady McClain opposite her former Orson's Shadow co-stars Brad Fryman and Ryan Tramont.

"The visceral challenge that Jake's play throws in your face has this company preparing for electricity on stage and in the seats,” says Smithyman in a statement. “Buckle up..."
