In an exclusive interview with Playbill.com in December 2014, Menzel said that the show was her "salvation."

"Yes, it explores a lot of intense themes that are close to my heart," she said about If/Then, a musical that follows a woman restarting and reshaping her life, "but to have the opportunity to be on the stage with the cast that I have and work through those things every day, it's been a total gift."

If/Then is the original musical that reunited composer Kitt, book writer/lyricist Yorkey and director Michael Greif, the creative team behind the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical Next to Normal.

The original Broadway cast recording is produced by Sony Masterworks and is available on iTunes.

If/Then played its final Broadway performance March 22, having played 29 previews and 401 performances.
