Nominees in 23 categories will be revealed.
Winners of the 2009-2010 Outer Critics Circle Awards will be announced the morning of May 17. Winners will be celebrated with an awards dinner May 27 at Sardi's Restaurant.
The cut-off date to be eligible for Outer Critics Circle nominations was April 24.
The Outer Critics Circle Awards are decided upon by a group of writers "covering New York theatre for out-of town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway."
Sutton Foster starred in the title role of Thoroughly Modern Millie and received the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Astaire awards for that performance. She also received Tony nominations for her performances in Shrek the Musical, The Drowsy Chaperone and Little Women, and her other Broadway credits include roles in Young Frankenstein, Les Misérables, Annie, The Scarlet Pimpernel and Grease! Foster's regional and tour credits include What the World Needs Now, Dorian, Three Musketeers, South Pacific and The Will Rogers Follies. She was most recently seen in the City Center Encores! production of Anyone Can Whistle. Hunter Foster, back on Broadway in Million Dollar Quartet, was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance in Little Shop of Horrors, and his other Broadway credits include Urinetown, The Producers, Footloose, Grease!, Les Misérables and the concert staging of King David. He was recently seen in the Signature Theatre production of Kiss of the Spider Woman and as Dr. Frankenstein in the Off-Broadway production of Frankenstein, a New Musical. He also played Ben in Modern Orthodox and Ensign Pulver in Mister Roberts at the Kennedy Center. Foster wrote the book for the 2001 musical Summer of '42 and has also finished co-writing a musical adaptation of the hit film "Bonnie and Clyde."
