PlayBlog "Glee" Kids to Take On the White House Rumors abounded the week of Feb. 20 that “Glee” star Lea Michele may return to the stage, and her onscreen teacher and fellow Broadway vet Matthew Morrison confirmed he might have an alternate Olympic career in mind.

While Morrison may be brushing up on his curling skills, Michele (a Drama Desk nominee for Spring Awakening) and the other young stars of “Glee” appear set to get a special live performance experience soon. According to ew.com, First Lady Michelle Obama has asked the show’s choir to perform at the White House April 5 as part of the annual Easter Egg Roll.

According to ew.com reporter Michael Ausiello, “Rumor has it Mrs. O. and her daughters are big fans of the show. And since a White House gig is an offer that’s pretty darn hard to refuse, 'Glee'’s producers did some lickety-split schedule rejiggering in order to honor the request.”

Ausiello also notes that the show’s first album of music, “Glee: The Music Vol. 1,” is currently No. 1 on the British charts. A great week for “Glee,” indeed.
