For Gilmore Girls fans, it’s a huge relief that creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino were able to reunite the entire original cast of the long-running series. That includes zany neighbor, Babette, played by Sally Struthers.
On the Hollywood set of the Netflix reboot, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, Playbill.com caught up with Struthers. The actor had worked with guest star Sutton Foster on the 1994 Broadway production of Grease. Struthers came in as a replacement for Miss Lynch, and a young Foster eventually came in as Sandy.
Even back then, Struthers says she knew Foster had enormous potential.
