Happiness, a new limited series that takes place at a community theatre in New Zealand, begins airing on PBS December 14, while also streaming on the PBS App and via PBS Masterpiece on Prime Video. Get an exclusive first look at the first two episodes below.
The show follows Broadway director Charlie Summers, who returns home to New Zealand to help his mom run the local community theatre. Before long, he's working on an original musical titled The Trojan Horse, and hijinx ensue.
Co-created and written by Luke Di Somma, the series is directed by Robyn Grace, and stars Rebecca Gibney, Harry McNaughton, Peter Hambleton, Jessie Lawrence, Melody Lui-Webster, Brady Peeti, Marshayla Christie, Yvettet Parsons, Maaka Pohatu, Browyn Bradley, Joel Granger, and Henry Auva'a.
