Deane Little Theater.

Also directed by Maltby, the five-week run began February 27 ahead of an official opening March 15. The production follows the songwriters' earlier revues, Starting Here, Starting Now and Closer Than Ever.

The cast features Allyson Kaye Daniel, Darius de Haas, Daniel Jenkins, Eddie Korbich, Sally Wilfert, and Lynne Wintersteller. Rounding out the company are understudies Ethan Paulini and Nicole Powell.

About Time has music by Oscar and Grammy winner Shire (Baby, Big, Norma Rae, Saturday Night Fever) with lyrics by Tony-winning director Maltby, Jr. (Miss Saigon, The Story of My Life, Fosse, Big, Baby, Ain’t Misbehavin’).

“This show feels very much of the moment for us,” said Maltby and Shire in an earlier joint statement. “We weren’t interested in looking back so much as looking around—at the lives people are actually living right now. About Time is about staying curious, staying connected, and finding the humor and grace in where you are, rather than where you thought you’d be. People have often told us that if the songs in our shows were placed in chronological order, they would tell a person’s complete life story. We decided to do the job for them and write a show that completes the picture. Taken collectively, we like to call the three revues Life: A Musical.”

The production also features choreography and musical staging by Marcia Milgrom Dodge, music direction by Deniz Cordell, scenic design by James Morgan, costume design by Tracy Christensen, and lighting design by Mitchell Fenton. Associate choreographer and musical stager is Josh Walden with Drew Neal as production stage manager.

About Time was developed at the Weathervane Theatre, Out of the Box Theatrics, and Goodspeed Musicals.

Joey Parnes, Janet Brenner, and Laura Ivey produce.
