Frank Murdocco's queer, covid-era solo dramedy A Little Treat has set a U.S. premiere Off-Broadway at East Village Basement, where performances will run September 24-October 12. Opening night will be September 26.

The work follows a single gay man living on his own at the height of the 2020 pandemic when a personal tragedy forces him to confront the world outside his one-bedroom apartment. Written and performed by Murdocco, the play made its world premiere at the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Steph Miller is directing, leading a creative team that also includes set designer Brian Bernhard and creative producer Alia Shahid.

Murdocco made his New York stage debut with his earlier solo show, The Public and Private Deaths of Carol O'Grady, at the 2018 New York International Fringe Festival, later taking it to Off-Broadway's HERE Arts Center. He has held writing residencies at Gingold Theatrical Group, Arthouse Productions, The Artist Co-Op, and the Cold Read Series. His plays include I Didn't Mean to Scream So LoudLegumeO'Grady, and I Want the World (And When I Get It, I'll Want Something Else).
