Begley Jr. ("St. Elsewhere," "Pineapple Express") will star as Charles Smith, a U.S. President seeking re-election, with Huffman ("Transamerica," "Desperate Housewives") as his speechwriter, Clarice Bernstein. McLachlan will portray the president's chief of staff.
November will run through Nov. 4 under the direction of Scott Zigler, who staged Mamet's The Old Neighborhood on Broadway. It officially opens Oct. 7.
Huffman appeared Off-Broadway in Mamet's Cryptogram with Begley Jr., as well as Bobby Gould in Hell and in the Broadway production of Speed-the-Plow.
November premiered on Broadway in 2008 starring Nathan Lane, Laurie Metcalf and Dylan Baker. Joe Mantello directed the Broadway production.
"Set just days before a major presidential election," original Broadway press notes state, "November involves civil marriages, gambling casinos, lesbians, American Indians, presidential libraries, questionable pardons and campaign contributions."
