Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World Pamela Raith

The pop musical Fantastically Great Women Who Changed the World, based on Kate Pankhurst's book of the same name, officially opens at London's The Other Palace July 25 following previews that began July 20.

Directed by Amy Hodge, the limited engagement continues through September 8. The musical, which debuted in the U.K. in 2021, has enjoyed three nationwide tours, a summer at Theatre Royal Stratford East, and a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022.

The current cast features Meg Hateley (Mamma Mia!), Charlotte Jaconelli (Sunset Boulevard), Anelisa Lamola (Once On This Island), and Aaliyah Monk (School of Rock) plus returning cast members Georgia Grant-Anderson and Elena Breschi and returning swings Summer Priest and Rachel Seirian (also assistant choreographer).

Fantastically Great Women has a book by Olivier winner Chris Bush, music by Miranda Cooper and Jennifer Decilveo, lyrics by Bush and Cooper, orchestrations and music production by Cooper and Decilveo, and live arrangements by Jen Green.

The musical follows Jade, who discovers the Gallery of Greatness on a day trip, introduced to iconic women and how they changed the course of history. Spotlighted in the musical are Civil Rights activist Rosa Parks, Nobel Prize-winning scientist Marie Curie, Suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst, author Jane Austen, trailblazing pilot Amelia Earhart, innovative artist Frida Kahlo, and more.

The creative team also includes designer Joanna Scotcher, choreographer Dannielle "Rhimes" Lecointe, musical director and supervisor Audra Cramer, lighting designer Zoe Spurr, sound designer Carolyn Downing, and co-sound designer Rob Bettle.
