Serenbe Playhouse Artistic Director Brian Clowdus and scenic designer Adam Koch built a set designed to do what the original was not: sink.
The outdoor, site-specific production is set on a lake located within the Serenbe community.
“We have a concept that allows the entire production to rise from the water. It’s a huge undertaking, but the concept brings a human scale to it as well.” The Tony Award-winning musical features music by Maury Yeston and a book by Peter Stone.
In this exclusive documentary, Serenbe takes you from design to performance, to find out exactly how this incredible effect is achieved.
