The Hilary Illick-Jennifer Krier play, which co-stars "Law & Order" actress Carolyn McCormick, began previews Oct. 5 and officially opened Oct. 20 at the Cherry Lane Theatre. Directed by Carolyn Cantor, Eve-Olution will have played 18 previews and 61 regular performances.
Eve-Olution, according to production notes, is an autobiographical play that concerns "Alison and Liza [who] are navigating the channels of motherhood as they take a revealing and sometimes comedic look at the balancing act of promise and compromise. Both women test the vision of who they think they are, who they wish to be and ultimately, who they become as individuals, as mothers, as professionals and as members of their families."
The production team comprises David Korins (set design), Jenny Mannis (costume design), Matt Richards (lighting design) and Eric Shim (sound design).
In addition to "The Cosby Show" Sabrina Le Beauf has been seen in regional productions of Much Ado About Nothing, All's Well That Ends Well, King Lear, As You Like It, Waiting for Tadashi, Oo-Bla-Dee, A Streetcar Named Desire, Uncle Vanya and The Imaginary Invalid. She is currently the voice of Norma Blindlebeep on Nickelodeon's "Fatherhood."
Carolyn McCormick has appeared on Broadway in Private Lives and The Dinner Party, and her Off-Broadway credits include Dinner with Friends, Oedipus, Ancestral Voices, The Donahue Sisters, Laureen's Whereabouts and In Perpetuity. Her many screen credits include "Law & Order," "Spenser: For Hire," "The Practice," "Homicide," "Judging Amy," "Star Trek," "Emmett's Mark," "A Simple Twist of Fate," "Enemy Mine" and "Rain Without Thunder."
