News Donoghue, Stratton, Shuman and Vattore Will Be The Dishwashers Off-Broadway Casting has been announced for Morris Panych's The Dishwashers, which begins performances Off-Broadway May 8 as part of 59E59 Theater's "Americas Off-Broadway" festival.

The festival, which offers a selection of regional works from across the U.S., officially launches with Panych's play.

Directed by Byam Stevens, Dishwashers will open May 13 and run through June 7. Presented by the Chester Theatre Company (Chester, MA), the cast includes Tim Donoghue, Jay Stratton, John Shuman and Jeff Vatore.

The play, according to press notes, concerns "Dressler, [who] scrambles to keep the basement scullery of an upscale eatery functioning, marshaling his rag-tag team with a stream of hilarious rhetoric and old-fashioned working class pride. His fellow wage slaves, the ancient Moss and the downwardly mobile Emmett, just can’t seem to grasp his inspirational style."

Designing the production are Corcoran (set design), Jill Nagle (lighting design), Arthur Oliver (costume design) and Tom Shread (sound design).
