News Debbie Allen, Ethan Hawke, Lily Rabe Cast in TV Pilots Emmy Award winner and Tony nominee Debbie Allen, Tony nominee Ethan Hawke and acclaimed stage and screen actress Lily Rabe have been cast in pilots for the coming TV season, according to deadline.com.

Both Allen and Rabe will play recurring roles in their proposed series.

Allen will appear in the ABC drama pilot "Grace" as one of the dancers with whom choreographer Michael Grace (Eric Roberts) has had three daughters. Sherri Saum will play Allen's daughter, and Allen's character will serve as mother figure to Sarah (Abigail Spencer), who offers to buy and run her father's studio when he is in danger of losing it.

Hawke and Rabe will co-star in "Exit Strategy," a drama pilot for Fox in which Hawke will play the head of a team of five experts who work for the CIA and are deployed when an operation goes awry.

Allen, a Golden Globe and two-time Emmy Award winner for "Fame," recently directed Cat on a Hot Tin Roof on Broadway, among other credits that include appearing in Sweet Charity, West Side Story (Tony nominations for both), Ain't Misbehavin' and Raisin, and choreographing Carrie. She recently directed and choreographed the musical Twist at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre.

Hawke has appeared on Broadway in The Coast of Utopia, Henry IV and The Seagull and Off-Broadway in Blood from a Stone, The Winter's Tale, The Cherry Orchard, Hurlyburly, Sophistry, The Late Henry Moss and Casanova. He recently directed the revival of Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind.

Rabe has appeared on Broadway in The Merchant of Venice, The American Plan, Heartbreak House and Steel Magnolias.
