Emmy winner Darren Criss will play the London Palladium October 15, capping off his concert tours of Australia and North America. Both a matinee and an evening show will be on offer.
The concerts, which will mark Criss's West End debut, will feature Criss with his own four-piece band, as well as two of his former collaborators, Starkid Productions' Lauren Lopez and Joey Richter.
Criss, Lopez, and Richter are founding members of Team Starkid, a theatre production company that specializes in comedy and parody musicals. Their collective college project, A Very Potter Musical, starred Criss as Harry Potter, placing him on the path to stardom. In the production, Lopez played antagonist Draco Malfoy, and Richter played Potter's best friend, Ron Weasley. Lopez and Richter have remained with the company, which is now Chicago-based.
Since then, Criss starred on Glee in the breakout role of Blaine Anderson, as well as Gianni Versace killer Andrew Cunanan in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Oustanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie. He made his Broadway debut in the revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, with additional credits including the title role in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and the 2022 revival of American Buffalo.
