Complete casting and creative team has been announced for For You, Paige, the first musical commissioned by TikTok. Created by Daniel Mertzlufftthe musical will be performed live on stage in New York City and streamed globally on the social media video app April 14 at 7 PM ET via the @TikTok handle.

Content creator and vocal group EarCandy member Sri Ramesh and Dear Evan Hansen's Roman Banks will lead the cast as Landon and Paige, two teens who write a TikTok song inspired by a favorite novel. Their friendship is tested when fame and opportunity come knocking on the door in this meta musical inspired by real TikTokers.

The production also stars Krystina Alabado as Kaia, and features James Henry as Tyler, and JJ Niemann as Jarek, along with Aveena Sawyer, Alysia Velez, Fernell Hogan, Cori Jaskier, Max Antonio Gonzalez, Emily Stillings, Thursday Ferrar and Paul Schoeffler.

Mertzlufft serves the production as executive producer, co-bookwriter, composer, and music supervisor, leading a creative team including co-bookwriter Kate Leonard, songwriters Julia Riew, Katherine Lynn-Rose, RJ Christian, Blake Rouse, Morgan Reilly, Alex Engelberg, and Leonard. Orchestrations are by Macy Schmidt, who also co-executive produces.

“The way theatre is being created and consumed is changing,” said Mertzlufft. “We are now able to give theatre access to people across the globe through their screens, and TikTok is the perfect platform to empower this. It’s not about follower count, it’s about the work you are putting out there. It’s so exciting to constantly see new voices emerge from this platform, and even more exciting to see TikTok not only acknowledge that community, but embrace it. I hope For You, Paige serves as a love letter to all of those people.”

Mertzlufft and much of the For You, Paige writing team previously collaborated on Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical, which streamed in 2021.
