Nancy Giles, the comedian and contributor to CBS Sunday Morning, will interview five celebrity guests before a live audience in New York City December 6 for the podcast In Your Face—New York.
Giles’ guests will include Judy Klam, author of the book The Stars In Our Eyes—about America’s obsession with celebrity culture—Nicole Krauss (author of the novel Forest Dark); Julian Velard (pianist/singer-songwriter and regular on NPR’s Ask Me Another); Jonathan Santlofer (best-selling crime novelist); and Eugenia Zukerman (flutist and writer); and WNYC's Brian Lehrer.
Free egg creams will be served by Brooklyn Seltzer Boys. The monthly podcast showcases New York City’s “unparalleled array of people, cultures, attractions, and stories.”
The 7:30 PM podcast will originate at Merkin Concert Hall, 129 West 67th Street in Manhattan. Tickets for In Your Face cost $25–$35; $20 student tickets are available in person with ID. Previous episodes have featured Tony Award nominee Judy Kuhn—watch her sing "Manhattan" at her appearance in the video to the right—actor Bob Balaban, and New Yorker cartoonist Roz Chast.
