Christmas Jukebox Musical The Santa Switch Released for Licensing
Music Theatre International is handling the new title, which features a score of Christmas classics alongside pop favorites.

Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International has released the Christmas jukebox musical The Santa Switch for licensing. The work features a book by Jeremy Desmon (Pump Up the Volume) and comes to the licensing company following a recent staging at Florida's Titusville Playhouse.
The musical centers on Santa and Mrs. Claus as they endeavor to retire and pass down the family business to a young New York ad executive, who declines the gig. The Santa Switch includes a song list of tunes from the song catalogue of Primary Wave Music, including classic Christmas songs like "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus," "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," and "A Holly Jolly Christmas," along with some non-holiday favorites like "What a Wonderful World," "Best Day of My Life," and "Breakaway." Arrangements and orchestrations are by Jesse Vargas.
The musical is part of MTI's Lively McCabe's Hits Musicals Collection, a project that is developing new jukebox musicals from the song holdings of Primary Wave Music. The collection also includes May We All and Always Something There..., plus stage musical adaptations of Can't Hardly Wait and Girls Just Want to Have Fun.
