Jackson is celebrating the album's release with an 8 PM concert at the Canal Room with special guests Arthur and the Geniuses.

"In the Name of Love" will arrive in stores March 29. Jackson co-produced the album with Michael Murphy, Bill Sherman and Michael Croiter.

Jackson appeared as eager taxi driver Benny in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical In the Heights and was seen as Simba in the Broadway cast of The Lion King.

In addition to his work as an actor, Jackson is also a songwriter for "Sesame Street," and such artists as LL Cool J, Ne-Yo, Mario and Sean Kingston. "In the Name of Love" promises a "soulful and melodic" collection of R&B songs, written and produced by Jackson. Songs on the album include "Be a Light," "One More Day" and the title track.
