This new North American tour launched in October 2024 at the Palace Theatre in Waterbury, Connecticut, and is currently playing Rhode Island's Providence PAC through November 9.

Hadestown, penned by singer-songwriter and Anaïs Mitchell and developed with original director Rachel Chavkin, was the most honored show of the 2018–2019 Broadway season. In addition to eight Tony Awards, including Best New Musical, the musical received the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, four Drama Desk Awards, six Outer Critics Circle Awards, and the Drama League Award for Outstanding Production of a Musical. The musical continues on Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

Following two intertwining love stories—that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone—Hadestown invites audiences on a journey to the underworld and back.

The new tour is directed by Keenan Tyler Oliphant, based on the original Broadway direction and featuring a new tour concept by Chavkin. The production also features choreography by T. Oliver Reid, based on the original Broadway choreography by David Neumann; set design by David L. Arsenault, based on the original Broadway design by Rachel Hauck; costume design by Michael Krass; lighting design by Aja Jackson, based on the original Broadway design by Bradley King; sound design by Nevin Steinberg and Jessica Paz; music consulting and vocal arrangements by Liam Robinson; music supervision by Cody Owen Stine; and casting by Whitley Theatrical.

The production team also includes production supervisor Sightline Productions with general management by RCI Theatricals and Mark Lunsford as creative producer.

The first tour of Hadestown began in October 2021, one of the first Broadway tours to launch post-pandemic. Upon its conclusion in May 2024, the tour played over 980 performances in 85 cities across the U.S. and Canada.

Hadestown was developed with funding from the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage at the Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center and was further developed by The Ground Floor at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Hadestown was co-conceived by Ben T. Matchstick.
