Al Pacino made his Broadway debut in 1969 with Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie?. His performance won him a Featured Actor Tony Award.

Other credits include Camino Real, The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel (Tony Award), King Richard III, American Buffalo, Chinese Coffee, Salome, Hughie, The Merchant of Venice, and Glengarry Glen Ross.

He was last seen on stage at the Pasadena Playhouse in the world-premiere engagement of Dotson Rader's play God Looked Away, which starred Pacino as the late Cat on a Hot Tin Roof playwright Tennessee Williams.
