Cast members who will travel from various parts of the world include Dan Lauria from Los Angeles, Johnny Rabe from Chicago, Caroline O'Connor from Australia and four-foot tap-dancing whiz kid, Luke Spring, from Ashburn, VA. “We were all thrilled when we received our three Tony nominations earlier this month and we are very excited to be a part of the big telecast on CBS on June 9th,” said producer Gerald Goehring in a statement. “Of course we can't say just yet what we will perform at Radio City next month. But I can tell you that our A Christmas Story, The Musical family is thrilled to be together again for The Tony Awards. One of our ensemble members is even flying out of Alaska to be a part of Broadway’s big night!”

The production was nominated for three 2013 Tony Awards (Best Musical, Best Original Score and Best Book of a Musical); the musical features a score by composer/lyricist team Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and a book by Joseph Robinette based on the writings of radio humorist Jean Shepherd and the 1983 holiday film favorite.

Tony Award winner John Rando directed the production with choreography by Warren Carlyle.
