The Tony-winning Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which recently became the third longest-running Broadway non-musical play, will welcome several new cast members beginning November 11 at the Lyric Theatre.
Joining the Broadway production directly from the Harry Potter North American tour will be John Skelley as Harry Potter, Emmet Smith as Albus Potter, and Aidan Close as Scorpius Malfoy. Skelley, a member of the original Broadway company, also received acclaim for originating the title role in the play's San Francisco production.
The Broadway cast will also welcome ensemble members Darby Breedlove, Dani Goldberg, Alexis Gordon, Caleb Hafen, Samaria Nixon-Fleming, Kiaya Scott, and Maren Searle. And, current company member Janae Hammond will step into the role of Rose Granger-Weasley. (Smith, Close, Goldberg, Gordon, Hafen, and Searle will all be making their Broadway debuts.)
Sarah Killough, Daniel Fredrick, Rachel Christopher, and Kristen Martin will continue as Ginny Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and Delphi Diggory, respectively. Also continuing with the production are Chadd Alexander, John Alix, Megan Byrne, James Cribbins, Ted Deasy, Gary-Kayi Fletcher, Logan James Hall, Chance Marshaun Hill, Zachary Lindberg, Jay Mack, Bradley Patchett, Alexandra Peter, Dan Plehal, Allie Re, Gabrielle Reid, Isaac Phaman Reynolds, Stephen Spinella, Tom Stephens. Khadija Tariyan, Baylen Thomas, Julius Williams, and Riley Thad Young.
As previously announced, original Harry Potter film star Tom Felton will make his Broadway debut when he returns to the role of Draco Malfoy that he originated on screen November 11, 2025–May 10, 2026.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has the distinction of being named by the Guinness World Records as the highest-grossing non-musical play in Broadway history with over $430 million total sales and over 3.5 million tickets sold.
The current Broadway cast is led by Matthew James Thomas as Harry Potter, Killough as Ginny Potter, Alex Serino as Albus Potter, Fredrick as Ron Weasley, Christopher as Hermione Granger, Ayanna Nicole Thomas as Rose Granger-Weasley, Aaron Bartz as Draco Malfoy, Erik Christopher Peterson as Scorpius Malfoy, and Martin as Delphi Diggory.
Following a world premiere in London in July 2016, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opened on Broadway as a two-part experience April 22, 2018. The
production would go on to be nominated for 10 Tony Awards, winning five,
including Best Play.
The condensed, one-part production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opened December 7, 2021, at the Lyric following the COVID-19 pandemic. A new, shorter iteration was implemented on Broadway in November 2024.

Based on a new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a play by Thorne, directed by Tiffany.
The production also features movement by Steven Hoggett, set by
Christine Jones, costumes by Katrina Lindsay, music and arrangements by
Imogen Heap, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Gareth Fry, illusions and
magic by Jamie Harrison, and music supervision and arrangements by
Martin Lowe. U.S. casting is by Jim Carnahan.
