Oscar and Bart head the cast as Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom, respectively, at the Kansas City, MO, venue through Aug. 29.

The cast also includes Bethany Moore as Ulla, Vince Leseny as Franz Liebkind, Kilty Reidy as director Roger De Bris and Dan O'Connor as De Bris' assistant Carmen Ghia with Jennifer Lee Crowl, Shauna Hoskin, Lara Seibert and Naomi Kakuk.

The production features direction by Mark Madama, choreography by Paula Hammons Sloan with musical direction by Anthony Edwards, who also conducts the orchestra.

Brad Oscar originated the role of nutty neo-Nazi playwright Franz Liebkind in the original Broadway production of The Producers, earning a 2001 Tony nomination for his work. Likewise, Bart earned a Tony nomination for his portrayal of fussy assistant Carmen Ghia. Oscar would eventually play the role of Max on Broadway; Bart later played the role of Leo.

The Producers (a record-setting Tony Award winner in 2001) is based on the 1968 film comedy classic of the same name. In it, down-and-out producer Max Bialystock and his nebbish accountant, Leo Bloom, concoct a seemingly fool-proof plan to get rich quick by putting on the biggest flop Broadway has ever seen.
