Full casting has been found for the upcoming Off-Broadway bow of Trash, a new play from Deaf playwrights James Caverly (Only Murders in the Building) and Andrew Morrill (Dark Disabled Stories). Both Caverly and Morrill are also starring in the work as previously announced, with performances set to run March 7-28 at Off-Broadway's Perelman Performing Arts Center. The Out of the Box Theatrics production will officially open March 13.

Joining Caverly as Jake and Morrill as Tim will be Chris Ogren as Jukebox, Rebecca Spiegelman as Carly, and Vishal Vaidya as Nicolas and Police Officer. Understudies Noah Buchholz, Trey Harrington, and Jessica Ranville will round out the company.

Described as "a comedy in ASL and English," the work follows Tim and Jake, two Deaf roommates sharing an NYC apartment. When it comes time to take out the trash, their diverging viewpoints on the experience of living in a hearing world are borne out. Nathaniel P. Claridad will direct.

The production will feature scenic design by Suzu Sakai, costume design by Nikolya Sereda, prop design by Ellie Brown, lighting design by Annie Wiegand, sound design by Howard Ho, and projection design by Taylor Edelle Stuart. The creative team also includes Director of Artistic Sign Language Kailyn Aaron-Lozano and fight-intimacy director Jonathan Mesich.

The work was previously developed at JACK NY, IRT, and Out of the Box's Building the Box.
