In what is being described as the play's first production outside New York, Arthur Miller's Mr. Peters' Connections is being produced by the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis. After four days of previews, the play opened at the Guthrie Lab Nov. 3.

Mr. Peters' Connections is directed by Guthrie artistic advisor James Houghton and Miller is said to have been "directly involved in the rehearsal process." Houghton saw the play's Signature Theatre Company premiere in New York, where he serves as founding artistic director.

The play follows a former pilot who finds himself in a mysterious time and place where he faces challenging questions about compassion, love, sex and war.

The cast for Mr. Peters' Connections includes British actor William Biff McGuire who has starred in Miller's A View from the Bridge as well as film roles in "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter," "Serpico" and "The Thomas Crown Affair."

Co-starring with McGuire is Augusta Dabney, whose Broadway career includes roles in Sacrilege, Children of a Lesser God, Everything in the Garden, and The Playroom as well as numerous film and television roles. Featured in the cast are Dominic Fumusa, Cynthia Lohman, Isabell Monk, Kris L. Nelson, Kaili Vernoff and Stephen Yoakam.

Mr. Peters' Connections' scenic design is by Christine Jones, costumes are by Mathew J. Lefebvre, lighting is by Marcus Dilliard, and sound design is by Scott Edwards.
