Casting is now complete for Second Stage Theater's upcoming production of Jen Silverman's Spain, which will begin previews November 8 prior to an official opening November 30 at Off-Broadway's Tony Kiser Theater.

Directed by Tyne Rafaeli, the company will be led by the previously reported Tony nominee Marin Ireland (Reasons to Be Pretty, Sneaky Pete), Zachary James (Addams Family, South Pacific), and Erik Lochtefeld (Metamorphoses, King Kong).

Newly announced for the production are Tony winner Andrew Burnap (Camelot, The Inheritance) and Danny Wolohan (Camelot, Macbeth).

Spain is set in 1936 as a pair of passionate filmmakers have landed their next big project: a sweeping Spanish Civil War film with the potential to change American hearts and minds. It just happens to be bankrolled by the KGB.

The production will also have scenic design by Dane Laffrey, costume design by Alejo Vietti, lighting design by Jen Schriever, and original music and sound design by Daniel Kluger. Casting is by The Telsey Office.

Silverman's plays also include Collective Rage: A Play in 5 Betties, The Moors, The Roommate, Witch, and Highway Patrol. Her books include the novel We Play Ourselves and the story collection The Island Dwellers.
