Mo Rocca will host the performances featuring Christine Allado, Ana Gasteyer, Marcy Harriell, Paolo Montalbán, David Turner, and The Chase Brock Experience.
Attendees can expect songs written for or introduced on the small screen, including tunes penned by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, and Cole Porter; specials by Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra; nights with Ed Sullivan; and well-known theme songs.
The creative team includes co-artistic director and music director Rob Berman, co-artistic director and director-choreographer Chase Brock, writer Sara Lukinson, and producer Ted Chapin.
Co-artistic directors Berman and Brock said in a statement, "So many great songs were written for television—songs from original musicals like Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella or Sondheim’s Evening Primrose, songs from variety shows and children’s programming, not to mention classic theme songs and commercial jingles that became a part of our collective consciousness. Many styles of music have been brought into our homes through our television sets. Our show, hosted by the exuberant Mo Rocca, will celebrate all of these ways in which music has touched our lives through the medium of TV.”
Performances are June 1 at 8 PM, June 2 at 2 PM and 7 PM, and June 3 at 2 PM and 7:30 PM. Tickets begin at $73.
