Two-time Tony nominee Alex Brightman, back on Broadway in the revival of Spamalot, will join the kids of Chickenshed NYC for a one-night-only fundraising event March 6 at Sardi's.

An inclusive theatre company that began in the United Kingdom over 50 years ago, Chickenshed opened its doors in Manhattan in 2018. Now in its sixth year, Chickenshed NYC has the same mission as the U.K. division: to enrich the lives of young people within the nurturing environment of an inclusive theatrical community.

The company's goal is to create entertaining and outstanding theatre that celebrates diversity and inspires positive change, with the motto, “When everyone is included, everyone flourishes.”

The upcoming fundraiser, which begins at 5:30 PM, will feature cocktails and hors d'oeuvres followed by a musical performance from Brightman alongside the kids of Chickenshed.

President and CEO Elaine Finkletaub said in a statement, “This event gives us an opportunity to expose new audiences to the inclusive performance style that is seamlessly part of every show we create. In bringing this event to the heart of the theatre district, we hope it will encourage the theatrical community to come and see our unique brand of inclusive theatre-making.”

Proceeds will benefit Chickenshed NYC's Build the Shed 2024 campaign. Tickets are $250 per person. For more information, click here.
