Tony Award-winning Broadway, film, and television star Alan Cumming will headline Long Wharf Theatre’s annual Gala, held June 5 in New Haven, Connecticut.
The evening is set to begin at 6 PM with a cocktail reception followed by Alan Cumming Sings Sappy Songs in Long Wharf’s 400-seat Claire Tow Stage in the C. Newton Schenck III Theatre.
Cumming premiered Alan Cumming Sings Sappy Songs in 2015 at New York’s Café Carlyle. He has since toured the show throughout the U.S., Canada and Australia, and soon the U.K. In February 2016 he made his sold-out, solo debut at Carnegie Hall, and released a live album of the same name.
Cumming received the Tony Award for his performance as the Emcee in the 1998 revival of Cabaret. He has also been seen on Broadway in Macbeth, Threepenny Opera, and Design for Living.
