Second Stage Theater has announced another week-long extension for the Off-Broadway revival of Harvey Fierstein’s Torch Song Trilogy—now simply Torch Song—co-starring Michael Urie and Mercedes Ruehl. The production, directed by Moisés Kaufman, opened to positive reviews on October 19.

After beginning performances September 26, the acclaimed staging will now play though December 9 in the Tony Kiser Theater.

In Torch Song, Urie stars as Arnold, a gay man in a tempestuous relationship with his bisexual, closeted lover. The cast also features Jack Difalco (Marvin’s Room), Ward Horton (Pure Genius), Roxanna Hope Radja (Frost/Nixon), and Michael Rosen (On The Town).

The Second Stage revival features scenic design by David Zinn, costume design by Clint Ramos, lighting design by David Lander, and sound design by Fitz Patton.
