The megahit Hamilton beat out Memphis with 2.8K (91%) votes compared to 275 (9%) votes, while Fun Home pulled ahead with 1.57K (52%) votes to beat out Kinky Boots with 1.43K (48%) votes. It was a close call for the match-up between Billy Elliot and A Gentleman’s Guide for Love & Murder. Billy Elliot narrowly took the lead, with 1.53K (51%) votes over Gent’s Guide with 1.46K (49%) votes. The Book of Mormon swept in its match-up against Once, bringing in 2.28K (76%) votes over Once with 719 (24%) votes.
We head into Round Two with Hamilton taking on Fun Home; Billy Elliot up against The Book of Mormon; Avenue Q going head to head with In the Heights; and Jersey Boys up against Hairspray. Voting for Round Two begins at noon March 15 and continues through March 16 at 10 AM ET.
