The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the biggest arts festival in the world, with nearly 3,500 shows. This year, Playbill will be going to Edinburgh in August for the festival and we’re taking you with us. Follow along this summer as we cover every single aspect of the Fringe, aka our real-life Brigadoon!

Baga Chipz: Material Girl
Gilded Balloon Tevoit
August 4-9, 8:30 PM
You love her from Drag Race UK and Drag Race UK vs The World: Baga Chipz is Fringe-bound. This queen will offer Fringe goers her first-ever solo show, which she promises will come complete with high production values and sexy dancers. With Baga in charge, you can expect a little comedy, a little cabaret, and a lot of camp.

August 15-16, 10 PM
Drag Race Down Under runner-up Hannah Conda, Canada vs. The World’s Victoria Scone, and All Stars Season 6’s Trinity K. Bonet will be joined by London drag favorite Louis Cyfer for a evening of stand-up. Come see this international group of comedy queens for more than a few laughs.
Anita Wigl’it: Funny Gurl
Gilded Balloon Tevoit
August 4-7, 9 PM
Drag Race Down Under favorite Anita Wigl’it is hitting Fringe this year for a tell-all solo show, in which she will lead you from 1989, when Wigl’it was but a wee tyke with a huge personality, to Drag Race stardom and beyond. And of course, you can expect the wig game to be on point.
Lawrence Chaney – Overweight and OVER IT!
Ian McKellen Theatre, Saint Stephens Stockbridge
August 21-27, 9:30 PM
Is there any Drag Race queen more appropriate to see at Edinburgh Fringe than Lawrence Chaney, a name all but impossible to utter without adopting a ridiculous, over-the-top Scottish accent? Drag Race UK’s first plus-size winner is going to cover all of her body issues, from the unrealistic media standards from Chaney’s ‘90s/’00s childhood to now—when people performatively proclaim they have no prejudice against plus-sized people, even if that doesn’t play out in their actual life. Chaney will cover everything from dating to exercise to plane travel in this hour-long show.
Monet X Change: Life Be Lifein’
Underbelly, Bristo Square
August 2-15, 9:15 PM
Drag Race All Stars winner and operatic bass-baritone Monet X Change makes her Fringe debut this year with a show about her intrusive thoughts and opinions on life. We can expect to see some immaculate vocals and comedy chops.
