News 12 Actors We Would Love to See Play Chris in the Broadway Revival of Miss Saigon It was recently announced that the West End production of Miss Saigon will transfer to Broadway in 2017. Eva Noblezada and Jon Jon Briones will make the leap with the production in the respective roles of Kim and The Engineer. Casting for the part of Chris has yet to be announced, and in light of recent multicultural takes on Broadway favorites including the most-recent revival of Les Misérables, we put together a list of actors we would love see as the G.I. whose heart is stolen by Kim.

Telly Leung:

Telly Leung can currently be seen in the new musical Allegiance at the Longacre Theatre. Other Broadway credits include Flower Drum Song, Rent and Pacific Overtures. This leading man's soaring, dynamic tenor would lend itself beautifully to the role and could effortlessly handle the vocal demands of songs like the Act 2 hotel room "Confrontation."

Aaron Tveit:

Aaron Tveit

Aaron Tveit originated the roles of Frank Abagnale, Jr. in Catch Me If You Can and Gabe in Next to Normal on Broadway. He also played Link Larkin in Hairspray and Fiyero in Wicked. We would absolutely love to hear this leading man's rendition of "Why God, Why?"

Austin P. McKenzie:

Austin P. McKenzie is currently starring as Melchior in Deaf West's revival of Spring Awakening. He will also be seen as Howie in the upcoming film adaptation of Stephen Karam's Speech & Debate. This fresh-faced actor's portrayal of Chris would, likely, leave us in tears.

Joshua Henry:

Joshua Henry most recently appeared on Broadway as Flick in Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Violet, alongside Sutton Foster. He is currently getting ready to star as legendary bandleader Noble Sissle in Shuffle Along, Or, The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed. Henry would be an absolute powerhouse as the American soldier who falls for Kim.

Josh Segarra:

Josh Segarra is currently starring as Emilio Estefan in On Your Feet!, the music-filled story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan. He also appeared on Broadway as Mick in Lysistrata Jones. Segarra's natural charm would help him deliver an amazingly charismatic Chris.

Jay Armstrong Johnson:

Jay Armstrong Johnson recently showed off his dancing skills as Chip in the revival of On the Town. He has also appeared in Hands on a Hardbody, Catch Me If You Can and Hair. Bringing Chris to life in the Broadway revival would certainly solidify Johnson as a perfect leading man.

Corey Cott:

Corey Cott recently starred as Gaston Lachaille in Gigi. He was most recently seen in the Paper Mill Playhouse's Broadway-bound production of The Bandstand. Cott's portrayal of the tortured soldier would leave us absolutely speechless.

Jeremy Jordan:

Jeremy Jordan originated the roles of Jack Kelly in Newsies and Clyde Barrow in Bonnie & Clyde. He has also appeared on Broadway in Rock of Ages and West Side Story. Jordan would bring a gritty edge to Chris.

Adam Jacobs:

Adam Jacobs is currently starring as the titular character in Aladdin. He has also appeared as Marius in Les Misérables and Simba in The Lion King. Jacobs would deliver a cunning Chris with a keen set of street smarts.

Kyle Scatliffe is currently appearing as Harpo in the Broadway revival of The Color Purple. He also brought the role of the rebellious Enjolras to life in Les Misérables in the 2014 revival. Scatliffe's Chris would leave us on the edge of our seats.

Jason Tam recently wowed as David in If/Then. He made his Broadway debut as Gavroche in Les Misérables and went on to appear in A Chorus Line and Lysistrata Jones. The role could give Tam the chance to establish himself as a bonafide Broadway leading man.

Kyle Dean Massey:
