Hudson Stage Company will present the American premiere of You Will Remember Me, the hit Canadian play by Francois Archambault.
Directed by Dan Foster, the production will open October 15 in Armonk, NY. Originally written in French, it has been translated by Bobby Theodore.
Here’s how it’s billed: “How will you be remembered? How will you choose to remember those you love? As the aging patriarch of a modern family- a university professor, political and intellectual force, and long-time sovereignist - suffers from dementia, the people who love him struggle to make room in their lives for his care.”
Casting and creative duties will be announced at a later date.
The play premiered in French (Tu te Souviendras de moi) in Montreal in 2014 at La Licorne. It received its English premiere in Calgary, Alberta. Recent productions include Vancouver and Toronto.
