Following a five-month Off-Broadway run of Drew Droege’s Bright Colors and Bold Patterns, the playwright and actor will present a workshop performance of his new play, Happy Birthday Doug, June 29 at 9 PM at SoHo Playhouse.
Written and performed by Droege (Drunk History, Bob’s Burgers), the one-act play follows the title character as he turns 41 and is visited by friends, nightmares, exes, and a ghost. Tom DeTrinis directs the workshop during New York City’s World Pride Weekend after a two-night engagement at LA’s Dynasty Typewriter.
Zach Laks serves as producer.
