The world premiere of Will Eno’s Wakey, Wakey has extended its run at Off-Broadway's Signature Theatre. The play celebrated its official opening night February 27 and is now scheduled to run through April 2. January LaVoy and Michael Emerson star in the two hander, also directed by Eno.

This marks the second extension announcement for the play; it was previously scheduled to run on extension through March 26 in the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center. Performances began February 7.

Here’s how Signature bills the new show: “What are we here for? Is time a friend or an enemy? Do we all eventually end up in the same place, but take different routes to get there? This funny, moving, and thought-provoking new play challenges the notion of what really matters and recognizes the importance of life’s simple pleasures. (All of which might sound dreary, but there’s a chance this will be a really good experience.)”

The creative team is made up of scenic designer Christine Jones, costume designer Michael Krass, lighting designer David Lander, sound designer Nevin Steinberg, projection designer Peter Nigrini, and production stage manager David H. Lurie.
