Alarm goes off at 7 and you…nope, goes off at 6:30 for this teacher!
Can’t start the day without my Fairway coffee. Lots of it!
And then I stop at Dunkin’ Donuts for more coffee on my way to work.
On my way to the South Bronx
Arrive at work at 7:30 and have meeting with my principal and one of our seniors to plan for the graduation ceremony.
Up to my classroom and hang with my fellow teachers before our 10th graders arrive.
Reviewing economic systems...very exciting!
Two of my seniors and one of the stars of the school musical I directed (This year we did Pippin). I can't believe they are graduating!
I believe the children are our future, teach them well…and take a selfie!
This one always makes me smile!!
On my free period I always try and sneak in a run in our schools fitness center!
On a two show day, I have to get ready at work or I will never make it in time! Teaching and doing pin curls at the same time isn’t as easy as it looks!
No car service for this leading lady - racing down to 42nd St. Always racing somewhere on the train.
I made it to the theatre for half hour! The fabulous Diana DeGarma and Laura Woyasz await with apple pie! LUNCH!
Jenna Leigh Green and Christina Bianco are busy getting ready.
Mic check (sometimes I use a microphone at school too when my voice is tired! Yelling at teenagers and screaming high notes can be a bit of a strain)
Mic check done and wig caps on!
Found this in our dressing room - we’re on the cover of GET OUT magazine this week!
Ready for our matinee! Fun fact - We hide several props like our pitch pipe and bubble gum in Diana’s bra!
Getting in to character at “PLACES!”
Dinner break and catching up on some reading in the park!
Back at the theater Christina Bianco is practicing her Eponine…
And Jenna Leigh Green is trying on my act two wig.
Our amazing producer Tom D’Angora backstage before the show. He has his own chair/throne in our dressing room! Getting ready for show number two!
A picture of a selfie. So. On. Trend.
Brendan McCann does it all. Fixes our costumes, makes the props and helps with our quick Act One to Act Two changeover! There's nothing he can't do!
Mickey and Michael - our Springfield High crew!
Second show, second act…ready to rock!
After the show my producer and director have some serious notes.
Back home. Upper East Side. Catching up on Housewives before my 6:30 alarm goes off tomorrow!
