A new music video of “We Believe in Love,” a song written by collaborators Jacob Yandura and Rebekah Greer Melocik, is now available to view online (and above).
Written in the days after the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, the song was created as a call for healing and understanding.
According to the writers, “In the run-up to this political election, and after a summer filled with so much fear and violence, we wanted to write something that shows how love can heal. So, we brought together a group of friends and made this video of ‘We Believe in Love.’ It reminds us love is strength, and love will prevail.”
“We Believe in Love” features music by Yandura, lyrics by Melocik, vocal arrangements by Yandura and Matt Gallagher, and orchestrations by Gallagher.
Lead vocalist Charity Angél Dawson (Waitress) is joined by Cole Burden (The Bridges of Madison County), Dan Domenech (Kinky Boots, Rock of Ages), Alexa Green (Wicked), Corey Mach (Invisible Thread, Hands on a Hardbody), Laura Pavles (South Pacific), Tori Scott (Joe’s Pub), Melvin Tunstall (Beautiful: The Carol King Musical), Lauren Turner (Grease), and Dan Rosales (Spamilton, Wringer).
The new music video also features Matt Gallagher (music director, piano), Michael Aarons (guitar), Ben Lively (violin), Jennifer Baxmeyer (cello), and Peter Sachon (cello).
