Stage to Page Watch Tony Winner Jessie Mueller and Tony Nominee Danielle Brooks in Highlights From Voices for the Voiceless Mueller took on a Joni Mitchell classic, while Brooks offered a song from Purlie.

On October 30, Broadway stars gathered for the third annual Voices for the Voiceless: Stars for Foster Kids concert gala. Presented by Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley, the event raises money and awareness for older foster youth through the organization You Gotta Believe.

“Every 23 minutes another youth ages out of the foster care system alone to a future filled with hardships,” according to the event's website, “from lack of education to unemployment to higher rates of incarceration, poor health, early parenthood, and homelessness.” The duo use the event to advocate for these youths.

The evening featured appearances by Tony winner Jessie Mueller, Tony nominee Danielle Brooks, two-time Tony nominee Jonathan Groff, Jenna Ushkowitz, producer Jeffrey Seller, Melissa Gilbert, Charlene Tilton, Sierra Boggess, Caroline Rhea, Capathia Jenkins, Stephanie Mills, Janice Huff, and Lilla Crawford.

Mueller wowed with her performance of Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now” and Brooks sang “I Got Love” from the 1970s musical Purlie.
