The Broadway stage adaptation of the beloved 1997 Fox animated feature Anastasia continues its global expansion with a third international production set to debut in Scheveningen, Netherlands, September 22.

The cast is led by Tessa Sunniva van Tol as Anya, alongside Milan van Waardenburg as Dmitri, Gerrie van der Klei as the Dowager Empress, René van Kooten as Gleb, Ellen Evers as Lily, and Ad Knippels as Vlad.

Ahead of the Netherlands premiere, van Tol performed the Academy Award-nominated anthem “Journey to the Past,” which has been translated to “Zoektocht door de tijd” for the Dutch-language production. Watch her performance in the video above.

Anastasia is based on the 1997 animated movie musical, featuring a score by Tony Award winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. The two collaborators expanded their score for the Broadway premiere, which has a book by Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally. The three previously collaborated on the Tony-winning musical Ragtime.
