Watch a Sneak Peek from the First Rehearsal of Prince of Broadway
The musical showcases over 15 shows from award-winning director-producer Harold Prince, including Phantom of the Opera and Follies.
On August 3, legendary director-producer Harold Prince will unveil his latest project: Prince of Broadway, a musical celebration of his career that spans more than six decades of theatre history.
In the video above, take a sneak peek into the first day of rehearsals for the show, which Prince says he sees as a celebration of “our collective love affair with the theatre.”

Prince of Broadway features both biographical material and songs from many of the shows that earned Prince a record 21 Tony Awards, including West Side Story, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, Evita, Company, Follies, A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, and The Phantom of the Opera.
Performances will begin August 3 at Manhattan Theatre Club's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, where it will officially open August 24.
The cast features Michael Xavier, Chuck Cooper, Karen Ziemba, Emily Skinner, Tony Yazbeck, Brandon Uranowitz, Janet Dacal, Bryonha Marie Parham, and Kaley Ann Voorhees.
