The play, directed by Pam MacKinnon, also features Josh Lucas, Tony winner Blair Brown, Marton Csokas, and Hamilton Tony nominee Phillipa Soo.
Inspired by Henri Becque's 1885 play La Parisienne, The Parisian Woman follows a power couple (Thurman and Lucas) as they angle to secure a judicial post. The piece for first commissioned and developed by the Flea Theater before being produced by South Coast Repertory. Willimon has heavily revised the piece to reflect the political climate, and intends to do so throughout the run.
