Two-time Tony nominee Bobby Cannavale will reprise his role as Vince D’Angelo, the cop Will dated for nearly two seasons, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Cannavale first appeared in the series in the sixth season and won an Emmy in 2005 for his guest star role. He joins the original foursome Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mulally, plus a series of new and returning favorites.

Vince and Will broke up before the final season, but the flash-forward season finale showed Vince and Will back to together, married with kids. Still, producers have announced the reboot will not pick up where the finale left off—so the fate of Vince and Will remains unknown.

Cannavale made his Broadway debut in 2007 in Mauritius, for which he earned a Tony nomination, and returned to star in The Motherf*cker with the Hat in 2011 alongside Chris Rock. He earned his second Tony nomination for his performance and won a Drama Desk Award for Oustanding Actor in a Play. He also starred in the 2012 revival of Glengarry Glen Ross and the 2013 revival of The Big Knife. Just this past year, Cannavale earned a Drama Desk nomination for his work in The Hairy Ape Off-Broadway.

The award-winning actor joins already announced return guest star Harry Connick, Jr., who will reprise his role as Grace’s ex-husband Leo.
